Yes — CO2 vaporizes the damaged surface layer where most pigment sits, dramatically improving sun spots and uneven tone. Strict sun protection during healing is critical to lock in results. Melasma is treated differently. It is heat and light aggravated, so we use a separate pathway for it and will tell you at your consultation whether CO2 is appropriate for your pigment.
